“If we only dedicate part of our thinking and being to one thing, our contact with life will remain superficial. Nothing is memorised, nothing leaves a lasting impression. An empty feeling stays within. Unfortunately it is this emptiness that urges us to start more things in order to fill it when the opposite would be necessary: to calm down and live in the present. Living in the Now means experiencing a fulfilled life in every moment.”
Taken from: “Take your time – finding tranquillity in a fast moving world” by Eknath Easwaran (1910 - 1990), Indian spiritual teacher
